Our Story

Nationally acclaimed Xstream Ponds was founded by Bob Dews over 20 years ago in the beautiful mountain town of Cashiers, North Carolina. Bob is considered a leader in the water feature industry. He has spoken at numerous landscape conventions and has written extensively for trade publications on the subject of naturalizing water features.

In 2019, Bob decided to transition his role, and entrust Xstream Ponds to Cashiers native, Tim Brown.  Tim worked with Bob for over six years, and shares his passion for creating truly natural looking water features. 

There is an art to combining science and visualization that results in an impactful, serene water feature. We will continue to deliver high impact designs standards and build upon the tradition of providing landscape elements that bring such joy to property owners.
